7th Times the Charm: How To Use The Rule Of Seven

Leads are only as valuable as the percent of conversion they have.

Leads are only as valuable as the percent of conversion they have.

So, how do we get those hot leads into a converted, dreamy client?

The. Rule. Of. Seven.

Science says it takes a potential customer seven touch-points with a brand before they are statistically ready to make a purchase. And in today’s ever content-filled world, it can take even more touch points now. Woof.

That is why it is SO important to show up in many ways, many times for your future dreamy clients.

This means utilizing various platforms and mediums, such as social media, email marketing, print advertisements, and influencer collaborations, to reach and engage with those potential dreamy clients. By diversifying marketing efforts, you can cast that wider net needed to increase the likelihood of reaching your target audience multiple times across different channels. Consistent messaging and STRONG BRANDING across these channels will help you see the conversion you need to be a dreamy brand your customers want to throw money at.

DOLLA DOLLA BILLS Y'ALL!

To get those big paydays your small business deserves, it is essential to have strong, consistent branding. Every single one of those 7 touch points must be recognizable as YOU/YOUR BRAND. If it's not obvious it's your content, then it won't land with your dreamy client and doesn't count as one of those magic 7.

Without consistent recognition, you'll be scrambling to create even more content in an effort to finally get those people to recognize you 7 times. That's not a smart strategy. And since you're smart, you're going to be consistent, using your established brand assets over and over to ensure your people recognize you right away, every time.

To help you do this, we've created easy-to-update, always on-brand, and trend-forward templates in Canva that you can customize with your branding to elevate your brand and make the mark every time. Don't fall into the trap of random Canva templates that are mixed and matched. You will lose that effectiveness and miss that magical rule of seven.

With these templates in your corner, on-brand (and recognizable!) content will be easier than ever to create, saving you time and making you more money.

Make more money. Spend less time.

How can you leverage our Canva templates to maximize their impact? Let's map out the Rule of 7 using the easy-to-edit Canva template designs.

Let’s walk through the content experience Addison had with my content about The Rule of Seven. While spending time on numerous platforms, she saw the below touch points :

1.First, she saw my 9:16 post on Instagram Stories, featuring my brand fonts, imagery, and messaging style:

2. Then, in my Instagram Feed, she saw a different 4:5 graphic with the same overall messaging. Since I’m using comparable fonts, a photo of me in the first graphic, and then calling out the brand name in this graphic, we’re training her brain to recognize our brand and connect the dots:

3. Later, on Pinterest, she saw a 4:5 graphic. Again, imagery, fonts, messaging, and colors are ensuring she’s starting to recognize my brand:

4. BAM! Another graphic on Pinterest, this time a 9:16 aspect ratio. Instead of being image heavy, I tested a text heavy graphic to see what performed better. In this case, Addison saw both the image and the text graphic. Bonus: I use my Pinterest Stats to see what performs best with MY dreamy client.

5. Addison actually was already on our email list! WIN!! But, she isn’t an active heysarascultz.com user. I used a graphic in an email to my subscribers that she opened and read. And yes: our Canva Templates can also be used in email! For this one, I simply cropped a 9:16 Canva Template to a 1:1 aspect ratio right within my email platform:

6 and 7. Back on Instagram a few days later, I was still talking about this post. I shared a carousel post highlighting the high level concept of The Rule of Seven. Since she interacted with the first slide of the Instagram post, the IG Algorithm decided to push the remaining carousel content to her later that day. So without any extra effort on my part, she hit 6 & 7:

Of course, all of these posts are ultimately driving to my BLOG POST. After seeing the last post of the carousel, Addison FINALLY clicked the link in my bio that brought her to my blog post.

The Rule of Seven brought her here!!

It’s a lot of work, isn’t it? That’s why it’s more important than ever to ensure you’re driving intentional brand recognition with every single touch point.

Lucky for you, our easy-to-update Canva Templates make it faster than ever to hit that Rule of Seven.

BONUS THOUGHTS:

When you are using these templates, focus on creating meaningful and valuable content for your viewers. Simply bombarding people with repetitive sales pitches will not yield desired results. Instead, each touchpoint should provide something of value to your customer, whether it's educational information, entertaining content, or exclusive offers. By consistently delivering this heightened quality content, you can establish yourself as trusted authorities in their respective industries and build rapport with potential clients.
