LATEST & GREATEST:
Working from home, it's super easy for me to work ALL. THE. TIME. Which I'm not into. And I've always been interested in crafting and DIY, but have severely stunted development with this type of for-fun creative expression in the past year. Craving a great excuse to get my hands dirty, I took my pal, Pam's, offer up to venture North with her to Duluth, MN for a weekend at Hemlocks Leatherworks, where I learned the difference between a cobbler and cordwainer (hint: one MAKES shoes, the other FIXES shoes). I measured and cut and sewed and created and glued and hammered and had THE BEST time using my hands and trying something new.
Capturing memories and actually creating something with them instead of just losing them in 'the cloud' somewhere has been another focus of mine, and Apple's "Clips" app makes combining video clips and photos as easy as ever. This is the third video I've fairly quickly put together commemorating fun life events, but Clips would also be a super easy way to capture "a second a day" (a project I attempted in 2017 that fizzled by March).
In lieu of sharing photos, here's the compilation I made, highlighting most of the incredible time we shared in Duluth.
Happy Saturday, go do something new!!
